Who are we?

Swoosh is the registered business name for Ausfinancial Pty Ltd ACN 118 176 631 t/as Swoosh Finance (‘Swoosh’), Australian Credit Licence Number 387993. For almost 10 years, Swoosh has provided a fast, convenient and responsible service to Australians from all walks of life. Sometimes unexpected events happen or emergencies that you are unable to budget for and you need a financial ‘leg up’, a Swoosh loan can help you get back on track.

What makes Swoosh different?

At Swoosh we aim to meet your needs and will never lend you more than you can afford to repay. Our application process is simple, smooth and straight forward and better yet, we’re paperless! We’re constantly evolving to provide a better and more tailored service for our clients and aim to expand our product range to provide for more Australians.

Applying for a Swoosh Loan

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for a loan with Swoosh you must meet the following criteria;

  • 18+
  • Employed for at least 3 months
  • Permanent Australian resident
  • Own a vehicle registered in your name, with no finance owing or encumbrances
How much can I borrow?

We offer loans between $2,100 to $4,600.

What do I need to get started?

To apply all you need is:

  • Your internet banking details (to provide us with a read only report of the last 90 days account history)
  • Your BSB and account number (so we can deposit your money)
  • Plus commonly required personal details such as name, address, employment information, financial commitments etc.
Are there any credit checks?

We conduct credit checks on each application however this is not the sole indicator of whether or not a loan will be approved. If you have had a default in the past we will still do our best to help you. We are not a bank and our policies reflect our desire to help our applicants.

What if I am bankrupt or in a part IX debt agreement?

We will still consider applicants that are currently bankrupt or in a part IX debt agreement.

If I currently have a loan with another company can I apply for a Swoosh loan?

Yes, if you have other loans you may still apply for a Swoosh loan. As responsible lenders, Swoosh will only approve your application if we believe you can afford to repay your loan.

Can I have more than one Swoosh loan at a time?

We do not offer more than one loan at a time however you can apply to refinance your loan if you meet eligible criteria.

Do I need to provide a reason for my application?

Swoosh practices responsible lending and you will be asked to provide a reason for your application.

Application Process

How long does the application process take?

The application process is simple. On average it takes under 10 minutes to complete the online application form.

How does the application process work?
  1. Apply online.
  2. You will receive an email asking to supply required documentation.
  3. Your application will be assessed usually on the same day but no later than 24 hours.
  4. Once your application is approved, you will receive an offer from Swoosh.
  5. After you have reviewed the repayment schedule, the costs and terms of the contract, you will be asked to electronically sign the contract.
  6. Swoosh will deposit the funds into your account overnight.
How long will it take for my loan to be approved?

In most cases Swoosh will be able to provide same-day approval (if all the required information is provided early enough).

Our team of assessors practice responsible lending and review each loan application on its merit. Sometimes a loan application will require more attention and care to ensure we are making the right decision.

If you are unable to provide all relevant information and supporting documentation, assessment of your loan application may be delayed.

How can I check the status of my loan application?
Will you be contacting my employer?

In some cases where your employment status or details are unclear, Swoosh may need to contact your employer or payroll officer to verify your application details and financial situation.

How do I sign my contract?

At Swoosh, we’re paperless! Yes, even our signatures are electronic. When you receive an offer from Swoosh you will be directed to a secure page where you will be able to sign your contract online. A copy of your signed loan documents will be sent to your registered email account.

How do I receive my funds and how long will it take?

Swoosh will transfer your funds into your bank account within one business day of you receiving your formal loan approval and signing the contract. If signed contract returned by 3:30pm (AEST) time, your funds will be transferred overnight.

How quickly can I reapply for a loan?

If you previously applied for a Swoosh loan and it was declined, you may reapply for a loan as soon as you feel your circumstances have changed to enable you to meet your repayment commitments.

Bank Statements

Who is bankstatements.com.au

Bankstatements.com.au is our trusted provider of online read only access bank statements. Security is our highest priority. All data sent to our server is encrypted with 256-bit encryption, secured by 2048-bit keys. This is the same level of encryption that the banks use.

How do you protect my and store my bank login information?

When you enter any login information on our site, it's done through Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This means an encrypted connection is always created between your browser and our servers. And it's kept encrypted at all times.

We only store information that's required by law which also saves you the trouble of updating, syncing or uploading any financial information manually.

Do you store my login details?

Your bank login details are not stored. We take personal information security seriously and entering your details only provides us with a bank statement report.

Security at every step

Not only have bankstatements.com.au taken all the required security steps (such as providing 256-bit bank level encryption of data, creating a 'read only' service, and closing the connection to the bank as soon as the data has been loaded), they have also had their service independently tested by an industry leading security service.

What happens to the bank statements you obtain?

They are used to make responsible lending decision about your application. Statements are stored securely as long as necessary to manage your account.

What will my bank say about me inputting my login details into your website?

We would recommend that you review the Terms and Conditions of your internet banking provider. Before you decide to submit your banking credentials, we would stress that security is of paramount importance to us:

  • Your data is encrypted in transit;
  • We do not have any functionality over your bank account; and
  • We only have access to a read only service.

Repayments and Fees

What are my responsibilities?

At Swoosh, we’re all about mates helping mates. When applying for a loan we ask that you consider your situation carefully and apply only if you’re confident you’ll honour your promises to us. Before you sign your loan contract, please review your details, the repayment schedule and the loan costs.

Once you have been approved for a Swoosh loan, it is your responsibility to ensure you have sufficient funds in your account on your scheduled repayment dates. Swoosh may send you an SMS to remind you when your repayments are scheduled to be processed so that you can ensure you have sufficient funds available.

As you build your trust rating with Swoosh, you may benefit from a faster borrowing process and may be able to borrow more on subsequent loans. However, if you default on your loan repayment, your trust rating will be affected and we may be unable to offer you further loans.

How do I make loan repayments?

Swoosh loan repayments are direct debited from your bank account and are scheduled to align with your current pay frequency. You can review your repayment schedule by contacting us directly. Contact Us

What time will the repayment be direct debited?

The amount due will be direct debited from your bank account overnight.

How can I check how much is owing on my loan and my repayment schedule?
What if I am unable to pay on my scheduled repayment date?

Loan repayments will be direct debited from your account on the agreed repayment dates. Avoid penalties by ensuring the required cash is available in your bank account as agreed in your repayment schedule.

What happens if I miss a repayment?

In the event that you miss a repayment or have insufficient funds in your bank account, Swoosh will contact you prior to making subsequent direct debit attempts. At this time, you will incur a direct debit dishonour fee of $25.00 and your repayment will be rescheduled.

What happens if I stop repaying my loan?

If we don’t hear from you, and you just stop repaying your loan, we may pass your account onto an external debt collection agency. This is a last resort and we will be legally entitled to register a default on your credit file. This default will not be removed from your credit file for 5 years. It is very important that you contact us as soon as possible if a payment declines.

What is Financial Hardship?

Financial hardship is when changes in your circumstances such as employment status, illness or other reasonable causes prevent you from being able to meet your loan repayments. Depending on your individual circumstances you may be able to apply for Financial Hardship Assistance.

Please contact our Customer Care team on (07) 3319 1004 for a confidential discussion and we will assess your financial situation. Evidence of the change may be required. Upon making a request, our Customer Care team will advise you which documents are relevant to your application.

Unfortunately, Swoosh is unable to provide independent financial advice. We can however recommend visiting the Government’s ‘MoneySmart’ website for advice, or by contacting them on 1800 007 007.

What if I need Financial Hardship Assistance?

In the event that you require Financial Hardship Assistance, you may be required to provide supporting documentation such as:

  • A Separation certificate (where termination has occurred)
  • Bank statements for the previous or current month
  • Centrelink benefit documents (where applicable)
  • A budget
  • Proof of bills (e.g. phone, utilities etc.)

It is important for you to contact us to find out what documents we may require.

If you have not received a response from Swoosh within 21 days of submitting your Financial Hardship application please contact us to confirm that we have received your documentation. You can also forward a complaint to the Credit and Investments Ombudsman on 1800 138 422 or visit www.cio.org.au for more information.

What are your contact/business hours?

We are open between 7am and 5pm (AEST) Monday to Friday. Outside these hours you can email Swoosh at admin@swoosh.com.au and our team will aim to respond to your inquiry the next business day.

What if I apply outside business hours or over the weekend?

If you’ve applied outside business hours we will still get to your application as soon as possible. We may need to contact you to verify details or obtain extra information/documentation.

How do weekends and public holidays affect the service?

We are unavailable on weekends and public holidays.

How can I make a complaint?
